Mugen style clutch shoe hard this is the 1.4 grams weight shoes. This shoe runs the special m2c short torsion style spring. This increases surface contact of the shoe by 20% . The lighter shoes will also allow you to run a smaller spring to achieve the same results.
These shoes come with a 1.0 spring, but we do have other springs for different track conditions.
It is important to note that we have never had a confirmed case of a spring breaking in 8 years of using this style spring.
These shoe also has a washer built in to reduce drag of the shoe on the flywheel
Expected life of the shoes are 1 to 1.5 gallons.
It is advised that you run a new clutch bell. Since the mugen shoes have a groove in them that will not allow my clutch
Shoes to seat properly. Or you can sand out the groove with a drum sander and use an old bell.
Discoloration of the clutch bell:
The purple color of the Mugen bell is due to the type of coating on the clutch bell and does not effect the performance of the bell.
