REDS Tetra-X Clutch Springs are replacement springs designed for use with the REDS Tetra-X EasyFit Off-Road Adjustable Four-Shoe Clutch Systems. The package includes four 1.0 mm clutch springs, providing reliable performance for off-road racing.
Effects of Clutch Spring Changes
You can achieve a softer or stiffer clutch configuration by adjusting the spring preload via the clutch plate, which has three main settings: L (low), M (medium), and H (high). Additionally, changing the spring diameter can further fine-tune performance, with options of 1.0 mm or 1.1 mm springs. Typically, 1.0 mm springs are used for 1/8 buggy setups. In high-grip conditions or for 1/8 truggy, a combination of 2x 1.0 mm and 2x 1.1 mm springs can be used, or even 4x 1.1 mm springs for maximum stiffness.
