Team Associated is a fantastic manufacturer of RC vehicles, and one of their best models is the RC18T2. Novices to the remote-controlled racing scene need look no further than this car. While the name may be technical and nondescript, the machine itself is powerful and elegant — poetry in motion, if you will. Its design is based on an offroad truck, meaning it works just as well on any type of terrain as it does on a typical track. Everything from the dual bell crank steering to the 15 precision ball bearing set to the two-belt drive system are optimized for exceptional performance.

All the complexity in its internal workings make the RC18T2 run so smoothly. However, that comes at a cost. Anyone who owns this machine must make sure to maintain its mechanisms. Otherwise, they handicap the car's ability to perform and inhibit their chances of success. If they let too many components fall into shoddy condition, the car could even break down mid-race.
