The hinge pins will give the user insurance from damage to the pins. 1 the tapered pin if it bends will likely bend at the weakest point which is at the smallest portion of the taper. This area is not in the bushing or the arm. Therefore will not effect the movement of the arm. It will still rotate around the hinge pin if it binds in the bushing. The ball on the pin will also allow the arm and hinge pin to rotate in the bushing which is the least resistance to the system.
These pins can be used with the stock tekno bushings.
Be aware that the bushings will wear quicker than normal
